About Us
Miles Fanning Legal is a trading name of QGLaw Ltd, a niche law firm based in the City of London. We provide a wide range of legal services to a variety of businesses. We have a particularly strong reputation in the fields of travel, tourism and marine.
We also provide dispute resolution, claims handling and technical auditing services to Insurers. Our team has extensive experience supporting the insurance market, including outsourced claims handling for specialist insurance schemes. We are an approved Lloyd’s TPA.
We recognise that legal problems are often complex but always strive to limit jargon and provide clear advice and support. Our team is mindful of the fact that many of our clients are not lawyers. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide our services in an approachable, professional and friendly manner, allowing you to maximise the benefit from the advice provided.

Claims Handling
We pro-actively manage Liability & Professional Indemnity claims from notification to resolution on behalf of our Clients (including litigation). We employ an experienced team of qualified lawyers and claims handlers who work together, using a state-of-the-art claims management system, to deliver a bespoke claims handling service with a proven track record for delivering excellent results.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Our Legal Team provides legal input to the Claims Team as well as managing service of the most complex large losses involving cross border litigation and arbitration. We have represented insurers in many high-profile cases, delivering optimum results for our clients. We have acted in the defence of numerous large group action illness claims and several of the lawyers hold specialist Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications.
Loss Adjusting
Our Loss Adjuster carries out on-site or desktop investigations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. This ensures that we obtain the best possible evidence to support a defence. This service can be provided as part of the Claims Handling & Dispute Resolution services or independently. Our Loss Adjuster has a particular specialism investigating marine claims and holds specialist Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications to assist with the investigation of gastric illness claims.
Commercial
Our Commercial Team provides bespoke advice on a range of areas including drafting contracts, contract reviews, legal risk management, risk reviews and assessment of regulatory compliance. We will work with you to develop processes that ensure you minimise your legal exposure and provide practical guidance and advice.
Employment
We provide a full range of employment law advice and assistance ranging from employee grievance and disciplinary matters to complex, high-value claims, transactions, and restructures. We offer a proactive and pragmatic approach to all employment and personnel issues faced by our clients large or small and working with their HR and Personnel departments, directors, and owner-managers.
